Lo and behold! It is finally here! UHR-Warlords has been released upon the world. Presently we are currently only available on the iOS App Store for iPad(2nd Gen and up), but we will hopefully be releasing on Android in March.
UHR-Warlords went through the sluse as all other app must, but we did hit a bump on the way. We were rejected once, due to no fault of our own, but we quickly corrected as per Apples orders and resubmitted. The second time was the charm for us and early yesterday morning, GMT, UHR-Warlords was approved. We released it almost immediately as we were completely ready (having waiting for an extra week for App Store review).
It has been a very exciting process, and we’re looking forward to see what kind of impact it has. As stated earlier, we are very proud of this game, and really believe that people who buy it will share our sentiment.
Yesterday we released the iPad version on the App Store. We want to get the Android version ready and out in March. But I have promised you other news and here it is! UHR-Warlords is coming to PC, Mac and Linux via…
We are firm believers that this game would be amazing on a desktop. It just a few tweaks in the interaction design and we of course need to implement some multiplayer functionality for the desktop version. We do not want to give out any dates and we ourselves don’t even know the exact date for the Steam version, but I can say as much as it is in development!
The feedback we’ve been getting has been overwhelming! So far we haven’t seen anything negative come from anyone. Here’s a few quotes from forums:
Absolutely brilliant game. Well worth the asking price.
What a nice surprise!!
It is much like the old game Archon . But somehow even better.
Easily the best game of 2014 yet
As for the press, most have just received the game, but some articles have already started to show up. Here’s a few:
In this clever blend of chess, tower defence, and Magic: The Gathering, you are cast as a warlord out to smash the face of other warlords. – Harry Slater, PocketGamer.co.uk
“…terrific entertainment and a worthy contest for any strategy enthusiast” – AppAdvice.com
“Probably, the most beautiful turn-based strategy game with great gameplay!” – AppDaily.ru
We look forward to seeing UHR-Warlords rise to infamy
